La
Norma is a resort-village with ski lifts to 2750 m. giving 1400 m. of vertical skiing situated in the Savoie region, in the Maurienne valley at the centre of the Alps. A traffic free resort, you can walk with complete freedom and enjoy the bars, shops and restaurants. Built almost exclusively in Alpine style with wood clad building and pitched roofs
As a child safe ski in, ski out resort it benefits from the coveted P'tits Montagnards certification. Expect individual attention and many and varied activities for children and adults both summer and winter. There is an excellent children's ski park where youngsters up to five years old are introduced to skiing. La Norma also puts on numerous snow shoes, street entertainment, and torchlight descents.
In winter , snow is guaranteed, thanks to large installation of artificial snow cannons. La Norma has 27 groomed and marked pistes, a snow park and many off pistes areas. You can take advantage of interstation exchanges with Aussois and Valfréjus which represents 172 km of pistes. La Norma is also 20 minutes from the Orelle gondola giving direct access to Val-Thorens and the Three Valleys at a discounted price (see special conditions). Racket walking (snow shoes) excursions and husky sledge rides are also popular winter activities.

In summer , nature and the natural beauty of the area can be discovered using some of the 2000 km of marked walks, 1300 km of mountain bike tracks and 8 via ferrata (fixed rock climbing areas) making fascinating choices of exploration. Coupled with this natural beauty there are cultural courses, the baroque churches circuit, the Forts of Esseillon and traditional farming and cheese making to be seen.
The Parc National de la Vanoise attracts more than 400 000 visitors each year. Adjoining the Italian Grand Paradiso Park makes this Europe's largest preserved wild area where you can see a profusion of both flora and fauna not seen anywhere else ; golden eagle, lammergeyer vultures, European ibex, the ubiquitas marmotte, and many more.
